| WHAT IS CT CORONARY SCREENING? |

| CT Coronary screening is a CT examination of the coronary vessels. It is able to detect calcification in the coronary vessels, giving a "calcium scoring" report, and is also able to visualise soft plaques. It has a high negative predictive value of 97%. |

| WHO SHOULD GO FOR CT CORONARY SCREENING? |
| |
- Patients with atypical or non-anginal chest pain
- Equivocal stress tests
- Asymptomatic patients with these risk factors:
Smoking
High cholesterol level
Overweight
Family history of heart disease
Diabetes
High blood pressure
Sedentary lifestyle |
- Follow-up of therapy for assessment of patency of grafts following CABG

| HOW DOES IT WORK? |

| The procedure is done on a CT scanner. It is non-claustrophobic and painless. It requires intravenous injection and ECG monitoring, and the whole procedure takes 20 minutes. |

| WHAT HAPPENS TO ME AFTER THE EXAMINATION? |

| You may resume normal activities after the examination. Your results will be sent to your doctor who will go through them in detail with you. |
